I (Kellie Burdette) was the first female midship-person to enroll at Sanford Naval Academy, in 1973, and I graduated class of 1975.

The B/W pictures is of me in 1975.

Here's another one of the Burdette house on 100 Elliott Ave, Sanford.

Our house was only three blocks away from the school. (From 1973-1975, up to a dozen midshipmen had dinner at our house every night, and relaxed there on weekends, thanks mostly to the generousity and matronly hospitality of my mom, Doris Burdette, who is still living)

The last one is of my brother, Skip Burdette, who was a student at both the junior and then senior school, with me, Kellie Burdette, sitting on his shoulders, in our back yard at 100 Elliott Ave, Sanford.
