Norman Les Johnson

Norman Johnson, known to his friends as Les, graduated from the Sanford Naval Academy in the Class of 1971. While at the Academy Les was an honor student, a platoon leader in the Battalion of Midshipmen, a member of the Key Club, the football team and swimming team. He was from Casper, Wyoming and attended the Academy four years.

The student body regrets Les was killed in an automobile accident in January 1973, near Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Following his graduation from Sanford Naval Academy, Les attended college at New Mexico Tech for one year. He was then employed Teton Exploration Company of Casper, Wyoming. He had been working at Callup, New Mexico.
