Verna Gaines Viands

Verna Gaines Viands, 83, Port Charlotte, died March 14, 2003, at Charlotte Regional Medical Center, Punta Gorda.

She was born June 21, 1919, in Ira, Vt., and came to Port Charlotte from New York in 1980. She retired after 20 years as a private duty certified nursing assistant. She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary and past president of the Mothers Club at Sanford Naval Academy.
